Publishing Website

To publish a website means to copy the web page files to a special directory on a web server and to make this site available in the Internet.

There are two types of websites in SiteBuilder:

Publication parameters of the regular site are configured in SiteBuilder Administrator's panel. For detailed information regarding publication parameters see SWsoft SiteBuilder 3.0 for Windows Administrator's Guide.

After choosing design, adding pages to your website and filling your website with content, you should publish your website on the Internet.

To publish a regular website, do the following:

  1. Click Next on the Edit tab.
  2. Click Publish, located in the bottom right part of SiteBuilder window.
  3. If your publishing parameters, entered in the Sites screen on the SiteBuilder Administrator Panel were entered correctly, the message will be displayed saying that your site is published successfully otherwise error message will be displayed.
  4. Click Back to Edit to go back to the Edit tab.

    OR

    Click Go to site to go to your published site.

    OR

    Click Finish to exit SiteBuilder Wizard.

If you are unregistered user and want to publish your trial site, then after you click Next on the Edit tab, the following screen is displayed:

Note: Prior to selecting any one of the publishing options, make sure that you have purchased hosting services of the hosting provider.

You can select SiteBuilder hosting provider publishing or publishing by the FTP host you know.

To use the services of SiteBuilder hosting provider, do the following:

  1. Select SiteBuilder hosting provider publishing option button.
  2. Click OK.

After selecting SiteBuilder hosting provider publishing you will be directed to the online hosting provider company to purchase hosting service.

You can send your website information, including your site ID and the link to your temporary site, to your e-mail. In order to sent your website information, do the following:

  1. Enter e-mail address to which you want to send site information in the Send site information to your e-mail field.
  2. Click Send to send e-mail message.

    OR

    Click Cancel to cancel operation.

    Publishing Is Not Available

To use the services of another FTP host, do the following:

  1. Click Publishing by known FTP host.
  2. Click OK.

On the next screen, do the following:

  1. Enter FTP host name in the Host field.
  2. Enter your website URL address in the Website URL field.

    Note: Two fields listed above should be filled in otherwise your website will not be published.

  3. Select the type of the account you want to use on the FTP host:
  4. If you selected the Specify account option button, enter the following data:
  5. Click OK to publish your website of indicated FTP server.

  6. If you selected the Use Anonymous account option button, enter the following data:
  7. Click OK to publish your website to known FTP server.
