A site family is a special kind of template in the Sitebuilder Wizard: it is a combination of a design template and a page set. These templates are offered to your users on the Start page of the Sitebuilder Wizard.
On any respective step of the Sitebuilder Wizard, a user can choose a different preset (design template or page set), instead of the one offered by the chosen site family.
To view a list of available site families, go to 
Server > 
Site Families. For information on how to operate with list objects, refer to section Working with Lists.
Sitebuilder is shipped with a number of built-in site families, which are unavailable for editing or removing. If this is allowed by the Sitebuilder license, you can create your own site families and offer them to your users.
You have an option of specifying site families available to certain users.
