Plesk 8.2 offers you the following new features and enhancements:
New site applications format. Now Plesk supports site applications in a new format, which is to become the standard for all Web applications. This format will be supported by a number of large hosting companies. For more information, visit http://swdn.swsoft.com/en/openfusion/.
Miva scripting support. You can now run on your server Miva Merchant e-commerce applications. For more information, see the chapter Enabling Support for Miva E-commerce Applications.
Management of ColdFusion data sources by customers. Now your users will be able to add and remove ColdFusion data sources through Plesk. For more information, see the chapter Configuring Data Source Names for Adobe ColdFusion.
Support for custom Plesk updates server mirrors. You can use custom mirrors for retrieving Plesk updates.
Sitebuilder 4 for Windows support. Plesk supports the newest version of Sitebuilder, providing perfect integration and ease of use.
Support for Communigate Pro mail server. Plesk can be integrated with Communigate Pro mail server solution.
Major components upgrade. Plesk 8.2 includes the latest versions of phpMyAdmin, PHP 4 and 5, MySQL, AWStats, Perl, Python and Bind.
DotNetNuke 4.5.2 included in distribution. Plesk comes with DotNetNuke 4.5.2 web application which can be easily installed on any website of your choice.
MyLittleAdmin support. MyLittleAdmin can be selected on the Components Management page to serve as a web-based SQL administration tool for SQL Server 2005.
Application Pack. Plesk comes with a brand new application pack which contains more than 20 popular web applications. The application pack can be installed as a separate component.
