Managing Virtuozzo Hardware Nodes

Virtuozzo is a market-leading server virtualization product by SWsoft, which is seamlessly integrated with Plesk and Plesk Expand. For details about the Virtuozzo product, refer to Virtuozzo website.

Generally, Plesk can be installed on both a physical and a virtual server (Virtual Private Server, also called the VPS service). When Plesk is installed inside of the Virtuozzo VPS, it is impossible to add IP addresses to it from the outside, because all the resources of the virtual server are usually managed inside of it. The resources managed from the outside are chargeable.

To enable adding IP addresses to Plesk servers registered inside the Virtuozzo VPS's, you need to perform the following steps:

1. register a Virtuozzo Hardware Node

2. add this Plesk server to this Virtuozzo Hardware Node in Plesk Expand.

By doing this, you inform Plesk Expand that this Plesk server is installed on the Virtual Private Server that is running on this Virtuozzo Hardware Node. From now on, you can add IP addresses both to Plesk installed on a physical server and to Plesk running on a virtual server.

The list of all Virtuozzo Hardware Nodes presently added to Plesk Expand is presented on the Virtuozzo HWN management page. You can get to this page by clicking VZ node management page Virtuozzo HWN on the Servers management page.

On the Virtuozzo HWN management page, you can see the following information:
