Managing Groups of Plesk Servers

A group is needed for combining Plesk servers in order to assign a common rule or a set of features to all servers belonging to this group. In Plesk Expand, grouping allows you to assign common IP allocation policy or a reseller to a particular group of servers, and to automatically select the less loaded server from the group to create a new Plesk client on. By default, all newly created Plesk servers are added to the Default group.

The list of all Plesk groups currently registered in Plesk Expand is presented on the Groups management page. You can access this page by clicking Groups management pageGroups on the Plesk Servers management page.

The Groups management page displays a list of groups of Plesk servers. This list provides the following information:

Column Name

Description

ID

Shows the ID number of a group. The ID number is given to each group automatically after registration in Plesk Expand and depends on the order of its registration. It means that the first group registered in Plesk Expand gets ID number 1, the second registered group – ID number 2 and so on.

Name

Provides the name of the group.

Plesk Servers

Shows the Plesk servers included in the group.
