Managing Plesk Clients

This chapter guides you through all the stages of centralized management of Plesk clients. Read this chapter to learn how a Plesk client can be created and further managed in Plesk Expand.

As it was mentioned above, Plesk Expand allows you to control all clients located on all Plesk servers which are currently registered in Plesk Expand. The Plesk clients registered on each Plesk server are automatically migrated to Plesk Expand during the server registration process.

You can also create a new Plesk client on any desired Plesk server, either with the help of a client template or individually, per customer requirements. The Plesk server on which the Plesk client is created can be selected automatically depending on server resource usage issues. This helps to balance the workload on Plesk servers registered in Plesk Expand. After the creation, the client can be managed at your will.

You can manage all your clients on the Plesk Clients management page. You can get to this page by selecting the Clients Management Plesk Clients shortcut in the navigation pane.

The Plesk Clients management page displays a list of all Plesk clients located on all Plesk servers currently registered in Plesk Expand.

The list provides the following information:

Column Name

Description

S (status)

 

Represents a status of a Plesk client:

Active

The client is active.

Deactivated

The client is presently deactivated.

ID

Shows an ID number of a Plesk client. The ID number is given to each client automatically after its creation (registration) and depends on the order of its creation. The first client created in Plesk Expand gets ID number 1, the second created – ID number 2 and so on.

Client Name

Provides a name of the Plesk client.

Company Name

Represents the name of the client's company.

Plesk Server

Displays the name of the Plesk server the client is registered on.

Creation Date

Shows the month, date and year of the client creation.

Domains

Indicates the total number of the domains the Plesk client possesses.

L (login)

 

Click to login

Allows you to log in to a desired Plesk client in the Plesk control panel as administrator. It takes you straight to this client on the Plesk server this client resides. The Plesk control panel opens in a separate browser window.

Note: 1. Only administrator can use this function.

2. You will not be asked to enter login and password, as they were provided during registration of the Plesk server this Plesk client resides on.

Note: When you remove a Plesk client from Plesk Expand, it is removed both from Plesk Expand and the Plesk server it is registered on.
